    Seattle Mags: Snowbash 2008

Just wanted to let folks know that Snowbash 2008, the Friends of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center's annual fundraiser, is just around the corner. Come on out to kick off the winter and show your support for the NWAC at the Tractor Tavern on Sat, November 8 following the Northwest Snow and Avalanche Summit. Good beer, raffle prizes and bluegrass with the Tall Boys. Hope to see you all there. More information on the Friends of NWAC website at www.avalanchenw.org. Tickets are here.

I'm confused, the website doesn't spell it out very clearly:

Northwest Snow and Avalanche Summit is an all-day event, and that link allows you to buy tickets.

Snowbash is at the Tractor at 8 pm, and costs a $25 donation at the door. You get free beer.

    Do I have this right?
that's all i can think of, but i'm sure there's something else...

Yes (except the ticket link part).

NSAS is the all-day event, which btw, we are looking for volunteers to help with, PM me for details. It is going to be a pretty good event this year - lots of great discussions of heuristics, risk assessment, route choices, should be fun.

Snowbash is at Tractor that evening - $25 donation a the door - $20 donation before hand through the link above to brown paper tickets. There will be beer involved.

The presentations look pretty good this year. More importantly, you get to see Lani live and in-person.

And they are still looking for volunteers to help out day-of for NSAS - if anyone wants to help, let me know and I can get you connected.

Maybe I'm slow but I'm still a little confused. Is the NSAS free or is that the $20/$25@the door thing? Can I just show up or should I make reservations through brown paper tickets? The line up and topics look great.

NSAS is not free, and it's limited to the first 250 people, so I'd get your tickets now on Brown Paper Tickets. Awesome event, I went to last year's and will be at it again.

Friday Bump for the Northwest Snow and Avalanche Summit tomorrow and for Snowbash tomorrow night!

Seattle mags, hope to see you out there. I'll have all the new Karhu skis at NSAS, and NWAC should be giving a pair away there via raffle.

    Don't miss out!!
