Second Annual EC Roll Call Thread

Alright folks, Ullrfest is history, guns have been fired, and ma nature looks like shes gonna give us some help this week.

Saddle up Maggots!! Lets get this party started

Wednesday I'm heading to either Mt Slow or K-mart dependent upon who gets firing first but could be convinced to head further north if conditions warrant

    Who's in?
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

    laser,

I would be game for another skin up Kmart. But if Stowe and northerly mts get more, I will probably head up there, which is usually the case.

Looking at Jay on Wednesday morning. Autoroad at Mt.Washington or Whiteface are also serious options right now.

thin cover yeah thats my plan as well

K's going to have to fire up the guns because unless we get 3-6" of snow at K its not going to be anything worth skiing

I just wanted to post to the first page of what will likely be another wildly popular thread.

Woodcorps has patrol refresher at Jay this weekend. Let the season begin!

Chance of snow in southern/central VT for tomorrow and tonight. If the temps drop a degree or two skiing could happen this weekend. If it's too warm, it won't look too good.

Mt Snow claims they will be open when they can hold snow top to bottom. Cross you fingers for cold temps.

Lets get some more reports on VT/NH resorts. I wanna make some turns this weekend.

Its crazy that we could ski top to bottom anywhere in NE before Halloween. This could be a good start to a HUGE season.

... that's not THAT rare... remember 2 years ago when it snowed over 100" on the top of washington in october? (i skied top to bottom on washington last weekend of october without taking my skis off)

of course then it promptly forgot about winter until february...

NWS calling for up to 6" above 3K in the Adirondacks. While that's not enough to open some trails it might make the Whiteface auto road a lot of fun.

Stuck in Mass. until the weekend but will be heading wherever the snow seems best/exists.
    Guessing Vt.

Edit: We should just continue with the old, massive thread.

Jonathan S. is trying to convince me to drive 6+ hours to ski 3" of slush on grassy rocks. What a nut.

I'll go dust off some rock skis....

According to weather.gov (which, by the way, has cool new topos so you can easily find weather for particular mountain peaks) says we can expect:

Jay: 4-7 inches by Wednesday morning, with another inch or so during the day and high of 30 degrees Wednesday

Mt. Mansfield: 4-9 inches by Wednesday morning, with another 1-2 inches during the day and high of 29 degrees Wednesday
