ooooh WOWWOWOOWOW!
Thank you!
How soon is expires soon?
Long story really short, I'm deciding on a new lens. I currently have an XTi the 17-40, 50 1.8, 70-300 IS.
I want either the 24-105, though I feel it will be too wide as a walk around on a crop body but I love the reach, or the 17-55, because 2.8 would be awesome and IS would be as well and so would the 15mm over my 17-40. And how is the minimum focusing distance on the 17-55? This would mean I would likely sell my 17-40, but I'm partial to it as I've primarily been shooting with it only over the last year. Maybe it's stupid to grow attached to a lens and the memories with it? Heh.
Then there's also the prospect of a fisheye I was looking into..
Sorry for throwing this all in here, but the discounts could very well make my decision here. (And if you want me to move this, just ask.) Suggestions?

um, $1,469 for a 70-200 2.8L IS?????
some siick deals in there
^^ i just picked up the non IS version for less than half that off craigslist. buying lenses new is a waste o' cash imho. but still, for new lenses, those are smokin deals.

Unless, of course, you shoot handheld in ambient light.
But to each his own. I meant no offense.
none taken!
but imo you can buy a pretty damn nice tripod/monopod for $700 and use it for other lenses too!

Ah new codes finally. Shame they don't have more offerings though.
How far thru the checkout do you need to go to see the sale price? Initially it just pops up at full retail. I need that 17-55 2.8.
thanks. petecz
