Went there a few times w/ the family while growing up in IL. Was pretty young. All I remember is Silver Dollar City and the big water park there, White Water something or nother. To this day I still remember being at Silver Dollar City and all of a sudden having to crap real bad. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the shitter on time. Ahhh memories........

So basically, I don't think there is shit to do in Branson itself. Go fishing in the hills, as iceman said, they are quite nice.

I went to camp every summer in Branson. I have good memories of the area. Actually, lake Taneycomo(sp?) has trout fishing. Most of the really great outdoor stuff is over the boarder in Ark. Check out Lost Valley, Hemmed in Hollow, Indian Creek, Sam's Throne, and the Upper Buffalo river.

I gotta say I was about 5 when this happened. I distinctly remember buying some rope from the guy making rope by hand to hold up a pair of pants they foundfor me. They have a ride there called Fire in the HOLE. That could be the cause of all the problems.

So the trip went preety well, drank tons of beer, fished, played golf and had a few encounters with the "locals". Stapes/soylent green I wasnt feeling up to tradition of shitting myself at silver city, although the food in Missouri did give me the shits. Being in Missouri made me realize how great it is to live in the mountains. Thanks for the advice!
