Big Boulder in Pa opened on November 10th last year. I believe Mount snow was the same. It's not a matter of if the can, but will they put the money into it. If a fucking mole hill Pa can open early november places in VT surely can. But are the profit margins there to make it worth it for them.

I LOVE VERONICA CORNINGSTONE!!! And by that, I mean I love skiing, and I think my stoke level is at an all-time high. I want to shout that from the top of the mountain, but i don't have a mountain; I have a desk and a computer.

I was ok last week. I got sick, and I was tired, and I was just weary. Then my friend showed me some terrain that's been right in front of my face that I have never seen before. And I want to ski it. "Kitty at my foot, and I wanna touch-it" as PUSA would say. I mean I REALLY wanna ski it. Looks like one of the best inbounds lines I've ever seen. Multiple airs all in a row with good pitch and typically good snow. With no one on it. And easy access. Hot shit am I stoked.

I don't know what to do with myself. I can't concentrate on schoolwork. I'd rather watch ski movies than hang out with my lady friend. I can't sleep at night.

Suggestions for coping? Smoking a j? Robbing a bank? Hibernating? Posting on TGR an obnoxious amount with blathering moronic comments (underway)? DH biking? Who knows...

Thank you for putting up with this drivel.

Lug a sledge hammer on your bike up to Busy and bust on those rocks under Airplane, then go chop down a bunch of 10-20 ft sapplings that are "in the way" of some nearby lines and throw them over the rock job so they'll hold.

I don't think anyones done this pre-season job for 25 years. It's long over due.

Too late. My STIHL axe made quick work of all the pungi sticks and saplings that lurked in my favorite lines at least a month ago. There are places that are just grass waiting for the first big, wet, windy storm to hit. Then, they're mine.

Stormy Sundays in August are great for hiking around chicken alley with an axe.
