good. now if only the racing could be made a bit more interesting
this weeks' autosport has a great article by Mark Hughes on how the current financial crysis may make F1 good again: in short, less money equals more racing instead of just more technical innovation and sponsor appeasement. the downturn may spell the end of Bernie, returning f1 to simpler times and letting teams rule more.

If hamilton chokes again will he be the biggest choker of all time? Only other big chokes I can think of are Jean Van De Velde and the 04 (03?) yankees...must be a sportcentre top 10 on this...
choke ? more like sniped.

should be an intense race

I think the biggest choke of all time already happened...when he was sitting there spinning those corded out tires last year...and losing the championship by ONE point.
I am so siked for this race, i wish bars would show it, i would even wait to watch it taped. oh well...
If any of you are stuck in class or work like me and would rather be watching F1 practice...

Massa on the pole at his favorite track, Kimi blocking for him.
Hammy has to finish worse than 5th. This is gonna be an epic race.
They're turning a race into something race-ist. It's not like Alonso can really win anything. Why all the hatin' on Hammy ?

Hamilton enters the final race of the year with a chance to win his first title and become F1's youngest champion at age 23. He has a seven-point advantage over Ferrari's Brazilian driver Felipe Massa, and can win the championship by finishing fifth or better Sunday.

Alonso, Vettel and Heidfeld should be able to attack Hamilton from behind with Kimi holding him. Hamilton will have to be very careful trying to get by Kimi, as he won't given an inch. Too bad Kubica isn't further up too.
Turn 1 should be very interesting!
There is no doubt in my mind that Ferrari has just tacked another $50 million onto Kimi's contract for him to put himself about 18" off Lewis' left and then brake check him into a front suspension failure.
How about Kimi returns the Montreal favor?

How about somebody wins the title in a fair game? no dirty tricks, no shit. best man wins, if their car makes it to the finish.
I hope you're all tuning in. This is gonna be sick !

suspense exploded. what a fantastic finale!
Nail biting stuff...
Been a long time since there's been this much talent in so many competitive marques. Alonso is driving so well at the moment.
Another huge drive from Alonso, what he's done with that car reminds me somewhat of Senna in '93. Just getting results it shouldn't be able to achieve. Vettel as well, he might just be the next great among the amazing crop of younger drivers.
By % has any driver in history had as many "racing accidents" as Coulthard, He was the victim this time but he's spent the twilight of his career driving with his elbows out
Fucking fantastic race. everything you could want. Vettel is an amazing talent, by far the up and coming talent to be reckoned with.
Oh yeah - fuck the IRL too.
That was an amazing finale. My heart has never beat that fast during a TV race. I was pulling for Massa, if only Timo coulda held out a little longer.

that's exactly what i was thinking: senna in 93, impeccably guiding a much slower car to good results until the accident next year. i didn't have much respect for alonso after last year, but he has proven to be the strongest and most complete driver this season.
after all the adrenaline today i must say that i'm crashing down and am already missing F1. it's going to be a long winter before a much better (nigh more interesting?) formula comes back next year.
ps: autosport.com reports that alonso has confirmed he'll stay at Renault for another year.
hahahahaha
^^^ hahaha, that was so funny to see. oh no you didn't!
Crazy shit, what an intense last few laps! I would've loved it if Hamilton lost again, but what can you do. There's rumours floating that Glock intentionally let off to let his GP2 buddy win it, but seeing as Trulli also had a 1:44 last lap Toyota probably just fucked up their fuel calculations.
Next year's gonna be good!
