I was there last weekend (7/6/08), and the snow was really holding up well. I'll try to get some pics up in a couple days...but unless there's a ton of melt up there, I think bringing skis would be a fine idea. Still lots of skiing to be had.
My roommate was there for the fourth of july weekend and reported that he skied the gardiner headwall in pretty good coverage.
Thanks for the info guys. I think I will leave the sled at home. Anyone know which way from missoula would be quicker through the park and towards cooke city or the red lodge way?
red lodge way fo sho. Thru the park in the summertime is everything but quick.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Thats what I figured it would be a total shit show in the park.
i'm skiing there tomorrow, i'll let you know
Headed up there next weekend......am I taking the boards?
Please say yes....pleeeeese.....

.....go out and make this season the best season of your life. Ski that line, take that trip, slide that rail, make that leap, live for the moment, and make memories with friends that’ll last a lifetime, because as a great man once said, “If you don’t do it this year, you’ll be one year older when you do.”

I just got off work and i'm late for dinner, but in short, until i can upload pics, skiing was great! First run at 8 was best down Gardner Headwall, last run at 2 was a bit slushy. Plenty of snow....pics coming
