I Love RUSH
Anybody else? I love the songs Limelight, Tom Sawyer, and of course RTB

i too, love RUSH. However, IMO they started sucking when they sold out and came out with radio hits like Limelight, Tom Sawyer, and of course roll the bones.
2112 Overture is all time, as are Xanadu, the Trees, Passage to Bangkok, Working Man, etc.

If RTB is the worst, what's the best? Can it be a compilation / greatest hits?

Rush is one of my all time faves, but I'm not interested in anything they did after Signals, and even Signals isn't all that great.
Hard to say what my favorite album by them is. The timing of this thread is serendipitous; was just rocking out to Hemispheres earlier today. 'La Villa Strangiata' is definitely in my top two or three favorites by them....Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain...

Rush doesn't even touch that big faggy lookin' dude Steve Vai.
Or that cue ball messican Joe Saturnriana.Last edited by I'm ur Huckleberry; 07-13-2008 at 05:29 AM.

Boo freaking hoo. The singer sounds like he just got kicked in the balls, and the guitarist is nothing special. I stand by my statement.

Geedy hasn't been able to shriek properly ever since Signals, right around the time when Lifeson contracted Alex Lifeson Syndrome (you're a great guitarist who has proved that he can kick ass, but for some reason just plays really wanky homo shit). This was really when the whole band went downhill. They're still amazing live, tho. As long as they play all thier pre-Signals stuff.
A Farewell To Kings, followed closely by 2112.
Actually, The Analog Kid off Signals is rad.

"Better" is subjective. I like guys who got the funk. neil is flash and speed, but i don't like him or it. Stanton Moore tops my list, we'd go from there.

How can you not like a band that can play something like this live? Truly amazing musicianship.

Fuck...4:48 is where Lifeson starts to send it.
Shame it is in Mono...otherwise, that is some good live shit.
As to the Xanadu video...holy Spinal Tap.Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident

Aren't they on tour right now? Thought I heard they were in Denver recently. RTB CD is like my Cult-Sonic Temple CD, a classic that is always kept in the car and every once in a while I have to crank it up. Listening to Roll the Bones always makes me crave a Henry Weinhart's beer, darn Oregon college roommates that introduced me to Rush.
