    2112 couldn't be topped.
Campy, yet complete genius... lyrically, musically, and conceptually.
A great band that peaked too soon.

Even if you don't dig Rush, you have got to respect how much NOISE three cats can make on stage.

THAT'S why i called you a moron, not because you think Rush sucks. Which they do. It was all over after 2112, (30 fucking years ago) face it peoples.
    OK, list 20.

Wha-? What do you mean? What's math rock? And what do you mean about Morse code?
Is this going to make my head hurt?

Not true. I have a truly amazing interpretive dance set to The Temples of Syrinx that slays the ladies.

Beginning of song. Peart on the bells doing Y-Y-Z in morse code. Kinda structures the whole tune.

i thought rush came back strong after RTB (which i ignored after hearing the title track...ech!) with counterparts...lifeson recorded through his amp instead of direct, and his playing there has the teeth+hollow-body goodness of old. then back to wank with the awfultest for echo.
and then a really strong vapour trails. i saw 5 shows on that tour. all really strong, brought me back to the shows i saw in 80 and 81.

but nowadays, i won't spend on a rock show what i might spend on a pair of lightly used skis, so missed the last tour...

Rush will be appearing on "The Colbert Report," and it's not Limbaugh.

The Canadian band Rush, which hasn't performed on U.S. television in more than three decades, will play their classic "Tom Sawyer" on the Comedy Central show Wednesday (11:30 p.m. EST). The Geddy Lee-led trio, which is currently on tour, hasn't played on U.S. television since 1975.

They replay the previous night's Daily Show and Colbert Report at 7 and 7:30, respectively.

Rush is not a good band.

    Sounds like screaming squirrels.

I kinda liked 2112, but that was over 30 fucking years ago.

    Move on.
