Line rules, and you can't handle Jason's up front blunt attitude go back and your're sh*tty skis. I don't see any other company putting out skis that Line does and making skis which the riders want and not what is good for marketing profit. Look at the Prophet, you'll never see it in stores and anybody who has a pair is a true line rider that supports the progression of skiing.
How could I ever argue with the voice of maturity?

I've always said that employees at Kirkwood had shitty dispositions because the shit flowed downhill from the top.
It appears to be the same elsewhere as well.

As for the delusion of grandeur:
At no time did I ever consider you worth associating with, let alone sending you a pair of skis. Get a grip.
    Smoke that blunt.

Cmor, you've been mostly innocuous here, don't force us to consider you a moron, please.

    DB? 4FRNT?

With the exception of one sentence, I actually like Jason's response. Not sure why everyone's getting so upset.

If someone posted a part of my email in a pubilc forum, and someone else who didn't know me called me a fucker in the same thread, I'd prolly get a bit riled up too.

Alright. I'll give you DB, they seem to be a good company. Unfortunattlly I could never afford their prices. Although I believe them to be fair.

4frnt is a bunch of marketing hype. In my opinion.

I'm gunna go ahead and remove myself from the conversation. I get pissed off at the whole image thing real quick, and perhaps I can't really articulate my ideas in short-form. I stick behind what I said, although I'm sure there are exceptions to the corporate ski world that I haven't taken into account. In the end I don't agree with the whole image thing period. Line included. Put out incredible stuff and let the people do the talking. I believe DB is just about the only company doing that right now.

Thanks, schmear. I felt compelled to wrassle with RK because he was foolish enough to put in a public forum that the guy who gives him free skis was burning people.

I'm a steadfast proponent of listening to a customer's complaints and making them feel good about how those complaints are handled. I do it all the time. I've given gear to people who have been disappointed with the service we've provided - not disappointed with the gear - but with the service. In every circumstance, it was delivery times. Never our attitude.

From Line's website. I'm a big fan of the movie Zoolander. If this is on their home page, there must be something good about the company.

I've had a pass at Kirkwood for 7 years and have found most of the employees to be pleasant (there have been a few exceptions) most of the time. Overall I have felt a positive energy at Kirkwood and have met many great people there.
P.S. I love their open boundary policy.

Love the mountain. I've lived there 4 out of the last 12 years. Skied there all 12. Got to know the place and the people who run it pretty well, from the top down. Just my opinion; and it's shared with a great many locals there.

Cool. Your experiences there are probably more in depth than mine. We may have seen each other there before and not even known it. I'm sure at least we may have admired each others fresh tracks on a powder day. I agree with you, I love the mountain too.

The main complaint voiced was that Line has horrible customer service with a horrible attitude, and the bossman came on here specifically to tell us to go fuck ourselves.

And you don't see the problem?

    Odd.

That's exactly what everyone here wants. Brilliant.

That's because you've never heard of Stockli.

And I'm pretty sure every company tries to make skis 'riders' (usually they're skiers, actually) want. Personally I tend not to buy ski that I don't want.

My post was specifically about Jason's reply, and not about Line's customer service, about which I know nothing personally. The non-quoted half of my initial post explains my rationale.

Is there a problem? Do tell.

BTW....a might not be the sharpest knife in shed....but what was I ansering? I kinda thought I was just providing some insight onto how I took the post.

edit again: question marks are funny.

Firstly, I think Jason may be being a little disingenuous concerning the part about ringing customer service. The email went to my work address so I can't check at the moment but I believe the words I quoted represented his response in its entirety. I'll check on Monday.

Secondly he is plain wrong in his assertion. Those skis have been skied on pow and hardpack and have never been clouted hard or slid a rail, box or anything like that. Hell, they've never even seen a park.

I can understand that if you've poured your blood and guts into a company that you're likely to take things personally when your baby is criticised. There are ways and ways of dealing with it, however, and this was not one of those ways.

this is retarded. Part of me is really wishing that is was an Alias, not the actual person. Instead of a intelligent, well written response, he jabbed back. There were a million better ways to handle it than the way he did. Not very professional. They can continue to go ahead and try to make money by pimping their low end models at department stores, I rarely see them in bigger ski shops. Maybe there is a reason why......like poor customer service that shop owners and managers don't want to deal with.
