Oh, the sweet joy it is to boogie. I raise my cup in cheers to you.
On this, my last night of freedom, maybe I'll go find a place to shake that thang. Anybody recommend a good place in downtown Denver? Send me the +++vibes+++ tomorrow mid-day as I'm getting cut!
Best of luck fallin! The night before my surgery I went out for a really nice dinner and wine tasting at this great little cafe and wine bar.Originally Posted by fallin
i was doing so well and then I feel like i blew it by dancing the other night. still swollen today and much stiffer. why why why did i dance?!?!?!?!?! the rhythm is going to get me!
I have PT today, so I'll inquire as to what she thinks.
Did you dance... Like a wave on the ocean?
i thought i was a wave, but i was probably more like a clydesdale
Dancing seems like great PT to me. Since breaking my ankle in April I have gone to about 6 or 7 shows, and even though I get sore I think the the balance and movement across different planes has got to be good PT. At least it seems like its working!
I have been limping since Sunday morning. it doesnt feel like it had the same effect for me. but i agree - i am working on agility stuff in PT and dancing seems like similiar movements. My PT said last night that is feels solid, but it feels very stiff and some clicking and stuff going on that wasnt there before. DAMN!
Careful there. As an old fart hobblin around on crutches, I have heard an insane bunch of people's stories (yeah, I'm a talkitive one...) and, amongst older women that I have talked to who empathized with my gimpiness, I have found those that don't ski seem to injure their knees either dancing or gardening.
Go figure. I've heard these two sources of injuries so many times, it's blown my mind.
