The mornings have been eerily quiet around my office (16th and Market). More suits than usual and some agenda pushers-but much quieter than i expected.

NPG--the mall ride and some shoe leather will get you there a lot faster than the busses. -it does look like they have made some traffic changes though--yesterday blake was bumper to bumper all day and it seems to be running smooth right now.

I don't remember downtown Denver being very big, and I grew up close to there. Isn't that only like 10 or 12 blocks? Why not just walk?

That was just the first part of my trip home since I'm on Cook and Colfax. Wasn't expecting it to be that bad since we were all told the clusterfucking wouldn't begin until well after 5pm.

I would too if there wasn't Chinese, Korean, and Philippine representation in the house.

I saw John Stewart this morning at the bagel shop by my office. That was fun.

I've never seen so many cops in my life. There are about 75 outside my building now (the delegation just went to the building across the street).

If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

Protesting used to be so much fun. I guess people only cared because it was in fashion then. How faschion has changed.

There's not just two, but three of those nuts in that story.

Report: Suspect confessed to Obama plot

I could swear yesterday the press was using the "skinhead" term on them but I don't see it anywhere today.

We just walked through civic center park... nothing. It's like a regular day in the park, except the bums have signs with political jibberish on them.

I left the office last night around 7 p.m. and all I can say is it was a junkshow.

I usually do the 14th to Bannock around Civic Center Park, back onto 14th to Broadway.

    Fuggitabouit. Motorcades, riot police.

    Fun times.

    R68 is in town to...and I quote...

END THE OCCUPATIONS No more free pass for the Democrats. Join R68 and others as we march to end all illegal imperialist occupations in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Hawaii, North America, and others. The Dems have the power to put an end to the United States’ illegal colonizations and wars, but they will not without pressure from the people. Join us as we create that pressure and say:

NO MORE! NOT IN OUR NAME! BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW!

The March will begin at the WEST STEPS OF THE CAPITOL and end on Speer Blvd in front of the Pepsi Center.

Crazy... I took the light rail home around 6:45 or so and there was nothing notable. I did hear about the cops pepper spraying around 14th though.

What's up with the bandanas? Trying to represent their steeze? Protect from frostnip? Are all of them wild west outlaws?

These people are massively underperforming at creating the civil unrest promised in the media.

Looks like the predictions about huge numbers of people coming from out of state to protest were a bit wrong. Security seems a bit over blown.

there was a mass of cops in full riot gear making sure this group did not get too crazy

Tight pants, fixies and straight edge go together like meth, intellectual supremacy and an assassination plot.
