Does anybody know how far binding screws protrude into the ski?
Up to 11.5mm depending on the binding.

That's about 1/4", in uhmercan.
Stuff I've measured says ~8 to 8.5mm, which makes sense on a 9 or 9.5mm drill depth of most bits. Kids stuff is drilled for 7-7.5mm. There is 25.4mm per inch so you can figure out the conversion.

until you see the dimple in the base
I was told no more than 4 screw threads past the bottom of the binding.
3/8" = .375" X 25.4mm = 9.525
11.5mm/25.4mm = .453" X 64 = 29/64"
Honestly, I've never seen 11mm depth screws on an alpine binding. If your using the bits the binding is going to be sitting 2mm above the topsheet and the screws are very poor at self tapping.

hah! I've been out-mathed... nice work cool, I knew there was a wrench size I was forgetting - I could only think of 15/32" for some reason!
I too have never seen 11mm depth. Maybe on those ski-jumping skis that were at LBD 2008!?!
Adult Bindings = 8mm.
Kids Bindings = 6mm.

I just stick them in the appropriate binding hole and measure the depth that they stick out, then drill that deep.
wrong? probably
does it work? just fine
