I've been doing a lot of reading about the Corps of Discovery. Lemhi Pass to Lost Trail Pass and beyond. Incredible story that takes one back through time, but really not all that long ago. Much of the area looks the same. I marvel at that and I absolutely love the back country on both sides of 28. The Lems and Beaverheads. I've climbed a high point or two (14 actually) in these ranges. Wish I'd done more.

It stretches between Marysville (Ashton) and Tetonia. Even on weekends it's uncrowded. Encountered 2 other riders in 4 hours of riding/exploring. The many bridges are the primary draw... though the whole route is really nice. Was up there again today with grandsons Liam and Warren.

Thanks! Yeah, it's been wet (and cold according to my wife). Substantial precipitation is evident in the many little gullies encountered on the bike trail between Ashton and Tetonia.

Will follow the rest of the crew down to AZ in the next few days...logistics being worked out. Stay safe!

That drive up is fun and kinda long.

I was up top yesterday and noticed that not only was the new addition pretty much done, but that the roof looked sharp. Tell him it was noticeable.

Come over this winter.

Vouchers? Perhaps the boss... ;-)

Hard to say if we will make it over that way this winter. The plan is to use time and funds at Soldier. Turner lives in Mountain Home. Tate and I drive from Ririe to the hill, snowboard all day Saturday and leave my outfit there in the parking lot and we all pile in Turner's new outfit and spend the night 60 miles away at his place. Sunday we hit the hill again and then part ways Sunday late afternoon. But...who knows, opportunities sometimes happen. If we do make it over, I'll give you a heads up. :-)

Spent 3 days and 2 nights camping in the mountains this past weekend. Got snowed on and nighttime temps were cold enough to make sleeping just a little bit uncomfortable. My toes suffered.

The days were awesome and much bike riding was done. From easy, leisurely road touring, to sketchy 'the fuck we doing' stuff. I got off and hiked my bike. Turner was able to ride it. Dumb shit. No injuries to report.
