It took 2 days of driving to get home. Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver, Cheyenne 1st day. Second day from there though Rawlins, Rock Springs, Kemmerer, Afton and then home to Ririe.
57 days total on the fire. ��

We rode up into Horseshoe Gulch (Spring Mountain Rd.) , to about 9,200 ft. Still snow on the trail/rd at about that elevation.

What I thought was Tate flexing on me was in fact him 'jumping' the bike over a big fat thick rattler. He was going uphill ahead of me and saw it at the last second. Bike and Tate came a foot off the ground as he sailed over it, it trying to strike him as he did so... I was like wtf is going on? It slithered off into the tall grass, me after it... trying to get a photo.

Odd sighting while camping. Time exposure. Watch at about the 30 second mark. A light can be seen to the right. This would be about 2:30am. Near the continental divide between Idaho and Montana. I was there alone for the night.

Comet K2 maybe? I read it was passing by Weds night/Thurs morning. I think it’s the largest comet to have entered our solar system. Tuesday night my neighbor saw a meteor break up over the Centennials driving back from
IF. Pretty cool.

Gopro has an editor that I use. Bits and pieces can be stitched together. I primarily use that function to shorten the long clips. In the original it comes at the 2:30 mark.

Comet K2 maybe? I read it was passing by Weds night/Thurs morning. I think it’s the largest comet to have entered our solar system. Tuesday night my neighbor saw a meteor break up over the Centennials driving back from
IF. Pretty cool.

This looked like someone with a powerful flashlight. I did hear a dog baying during the night, pretty sure it was a sheep herder, checking on his/her flock. I saw no one the last 10 miles on the way to campsite, though I had seen a herd the week before headed up the road near Kilgore.

There’s a local producer that grazes Ching Creek and then up on Table Mountain. Probably his herder headed up that way with some dries since it doesn’t look like there’s any lambs with those girls.

This is a particularly brutal fire. The wind has not quit for days and days. Forecast to hit 75 mph here tomorrow. Right now It is gusting to 50. Trying to sleep in a tent at spike camp. Very nasty. Feels a bit like the end of the world....
