    HELP - MS Excel

    Hopefully the collective will have an answer to my problem...

    I have lots of raw data in lots of columns. Some of it I want to convert to percentages, but after I do so, I'd like to copy these columns of percentage data into another worksheet...without the original equasion that was used to create the percentage information.

    Is there any way I can convert equasions that are used to display data into raw numbers? Like if I have a column E that shows percentages, but these percentages have an equasion associated with them due to dividing column D into column C.....and I want to copy just column E into another worksheet but want to make sure my percentages show up without having to copy the other columns as well?

    Sounds like a job for copy, then paste special from edit menu and then choose the 'Values and number formats' radio selector.

    I did not get that you wanted to paste the info

    You want a cell on one sheet to = the value of a cell on another sheet that has an underlying formula, Correct?

    Value of D1 auto populated into C1 on sheet 2?

    Its pretty easy, you create a formula (Rule) in cell C1 that just says = D1

    If you can't figure out how to do that I will open up Excel and figure it out for ya

    PS That prednisone for the p.o. is kicking in...I feel like I should go on a really long, hard bike ride, considering it's roids and all.

    Edit - MTT - that's another good way, I didn't think of that. I'll try the copy paste special option first...then create a rule (you just create a new column and say =D1 and then drag that down for all values, right?)

    IF the original values are going to change, then use the =D1 formula.
    That way, as the values in the original sheet change, the new spreadsheet will reflect those changes automitically.

    IF you are just looking at a snapshot, then Copy/Paste Special will be fine.
    Good runs when you get them.
