Why the fuck is ARod doing play by play? I refuse to even consider the fact that he needs the money. He's not very charming, that's for sure. He's not very knowledgeable about the current game outside of the obviously canned shit the hacks behind him are feeding him. He sorta sounds kinda stupid, too, which doesn't surprise me. I had to turn the game off because of this hideous broadcasting team, which is amazing, because it was Yanks/Sox in a competitive year.

My thought is that he’s paying to be in all these TV shows... he’s had a few appearances on Shark Tank too. It’s his “people” telling him that he needs to improve his brand image, and he’s trying it this way.

And I agree with you, he’s horrible and not likable in the least.

^^ I really thought he was going to fade away and become a footnote: one of the best Yankees ever...on drugs. Played his last game for the Yankees mid season prior to being cut. Maybe it was just Girardi who hated him. I guess he's supposed to be a celebrity now. I tire of the media telling me who a celebrity is and is not. Do you know Weird Al? No? What kind of celebrity hasn't met Weird Al?

Sports Center ignores the World Cup except in the crawl. I assume that a) Fox doesn't let them use video from the WC, b) FIFA doesn't let them use video from the WC, and/or c) they don't want to promote an event on a rival network.
