    Summit County: Where to demo?

I'm goin out there for spring break and want to demo a bunch of fat skis so I can get a feel for what I want to purchase.

Anyone have any ideas for me on where I should check out that has the best variety or pricing? I'll be skiing breck and surrounding areas. I'm open to trying anything with a wider underfoot

    thanks

where are you from that youre vacationing to summit county? if you're from the east coast or something and are buying fat skis to use only once or twice a year on a trip out west, then id suggest to instead buy a mid-fat that still rips in the powder (bro, k2 seth, armada ANT, etc.)

doesnt answer your question, but before demo'ing skis, itd probably be best to be 100% positive that youre looking in the correct 'genre' of ski.

If he wants to demo a bunch like he said, then I don't think that he wants to drive to Denver to switch out pairs.

Try Colorado Freeride in Breckenridge or Gorsuch in Keystone. Barring that, Christies or MSO in Dillon.

Yeah mid fats are fine, too. I'm from Minnesota but ski out west probably 25-30 days a year. There's a good chance I'll be transferring school to be out there, also.

Thanks for all the advice so far. I'll definitely check those places out.

Avalanche sports. Or Christie's at main st. station. Be wary, Breckenridge is the busiest spring bresk ski destination in the nation. In other words, fun bar scene, but the skiing sucks, and so do the lift lines, due to crowds. They truck in loads of old rental skis with scary ass bindings that haven't been tuned in a decade, from warehouses in Denver and some rental lines can be 1-3 hours long. Look up these shops on the web, get a reservation, and call to ask about the feasability of swithching out, as with this many people in town selection will diminsh. Without a reservation you might have to stop and get something to demo in Denver. Avalance will probably start selling demos at a good price around spring break as well.

Have fun, maybe next time go somewhere that averages more than 350 inches a year to demo fat skis, and is more about the skiing than the $. At least the party will be good.
