You'd think but I have seen skiers wear them a number of times in our beginner area, complete with kneepads.

Yup. All the east facing, low altitude chutes just out of bounds are completely untracked because they went straight from "San Juan death trap" to "fried to a crisp".

We got a new kid in the shop that gets asked every. single. day. if he can score blow/acid/mushrooms/you name it. I keep telling him that's what he gets for being a scruffy, raft-guide-looking motherfucker. Tourists just know.

See them all over for beginner boarders in the PNW. Helpful to know who's about to sit down mid-run without warning.

A few years ago at a ski-themed school fundraiser my wife put her hair in pigtails, tied an oversized baby Yoda stuffy to her butt and two normal sized ones to her knees. Everyone got the joke, immediately.

I went dressed as the GSA, naturally.

There’s a ton of non-skier foot traffic at the Sundeck, can you still qualify as a gaper if you’re not even trying to ski?
