Measure between a 10-10.5, rock a 304mm Atomic Plug Boot with a nice snug 95mm last. Try that on for size

Moved to a nice 317 Lange RX 130 with a nice 100mm last for non-racing. Love it.

13 street shoe, ski in a 28.5 Dalbellow Krypton Pro that measures a 326mm I think. Less than 1 finger behind my heel and the shell

    I have a few questions:

    1. What is the best way to get an "accurate" mm measurement of the shell fit? It's pretty obvious that the finger measurement is VERY subjective. I've seen the Scarpa tool, but wondering how everyone else estimates. I tried paper under the foot, but wasn't able to negotiate a pen in at the proper angle.

    2. Does anyone have an actual Mondo measurement? Street shoes vary depending on personal preference, not to mention shoe brand. This would seem to be a much better comparison of foot size vs. boot size.

    3. I measure 26.5 on one foot and a little over on the other. The 25.5 Kryptons have about 5mm behind the heel on the smaller foot, a tad less on my larger. I don't yet have the 26.5's to try, but if my calculations are correct, they should be right at 15mm. I suppose this puts me between sizes. What to do??

I do NOT ski 100 days/year unfortunately, and spend my solo time off piste but some of my time with family/kids, so I'm not looking for ultimate performance at the expense of comfort. I spent many of my younger years crammed into a plug boot popping pain pills at the beginning of the season and I'm starting to think with the Intuition liners the 26 might be the way to go, but I'll know more when they arrive today.

I realize the common denominator seems to be smaller is better, but was hoping someone could allay my fears :-)

    Thanks!
