This is kind of an abstruse question, but maybe someone here has done this. I've got a truck camper and am transporting skis in a roof box on top. It's a pain to climb up and down plus a little dangerous when icy.
I'd like to mount a thule or yakima ski rack onto the RV ladder at back. Anyone figure out the ins and outs of this yet, and what rack might work the best? I figure I'd have to turn the clamps 90 degrees to grab onto the ladder side rails and maybe drill some new holes in the rack to narrow the mounting points. Also a method to keep the skis from falling out before closing the rack would be helpful too.
