Its 90 degrees at my house at 8500'. That is only the second time I can remember in 13years.
The ride section through Frisco was pretty pleasant. Vail was not so bad either. Clouds helped.
The section from Georgetown to Loveland really sucked me dry.
I managed to finish in my goal of 8 hrs.

Good work. Sounds awful!
Rode keystone yesterday and the middle section of mosquito coast is pretty sweet now, nice berms and jumps. Looks like they are doing some machine work on lower section of paid in full now.
Good to hear they are putting some work into keystone trails. Last few years have been kinda rough.
Rode the dirt bike across the street at Tenderfoot trails past the gun range. They keep building more and more trails over there and there's nobody on them. Many of the trails aren't even on the CoTrex or MTB project maps yet and there's rarely anyone riding over there. Lots of opportunities for shuttles too if that's your thing. Trails are a little chewed up from the motos but not really that bad.
Have an IPW Cascade Creek BZ permit for one night Fri 8/2 if anybody wants it, I have to be out of town now. Can't remember why I only grabbed one night but suppose you could tack onto it via the 3 days in advance process if you wanted to.
Looks like we’re going to be getting this smoke from Canada all week. This sucks
It’s so thick today.
How long until opening day?
It's tolerable in the RFV. AQI was 50 this morning and 84 at 4pm.
I aint seeing no sunset pics...
Whoa, Black Bear Pass closed because of a rollover on The Stairs. No injuries thankfully. That would be one fucking scary ride
Tuesday in telluride. Cleared up today.

I drove Blackbear once when I first moved to Telluride. Once was enough
honestly it's almost not even news at this point, seems like it happens a few times every summer these days
Sucks they will get it closed for everyone. It isn't even that tough of a trail, just one sketchy spot and some switchbacks that some people can't figure out. How were there no injuries? Someone didn't use the parking brake?
Anyway, it is hella fun and pretty on a dirt bike and makes for a fun loop with Imogene. Hope it can stay open but not holding my breath.
What is the deal with that Taco? Custom job with multiple roll bars?

They were hitting it with the big tankers till dark. Burning in a hard area to get ground crews into. Winds have currently died down but still hot as fuck up here.

I saw those slurry bombers flying over my house on their way back to Peterson AFB all day.
I hope they hit their target.
Those slurry tanks under fuselage look really cool (quite large).
Alexandra fire tripled in size since last night , about 1800 acres now. Hot as fuck, winds moderate. Current view from neighborhood

Another start just north of lyons, very close to town if it were to back down the ridge...sure hope it doesn't

we are quickly moving to forest closures if this keeps up
Bet my parents are glad they sold their Sampson Rd house in the foothills and moved to centennial, it's currently being evacuated for a fire in Deer Creek Canyon.
