Cancelled. I'd be so bummed if I had been training on shitty gear all winter to get a full cancellation.
Holy shit that’s bad. Has that ever happened? Maybe in twenty twelve?

CU, DU, DPS & Boulder Schools were all on break this week. Those are the crowds I least like to share the ski areas with. They kinda know what to do and generally acted entitled. OK, them and Houston week. Those people roll deep in backs of 10+ and there level of oblivion is next level.

It's been a while since I came unglued on someone but it almost happen in Granby City Market.

Snow Show- No, this is the first time they've ever cancelled the Grand Traverse. All that janky snow from December hasn't taken the heat wave very well. So they had multiple problems- no snow bridges for water crossings, and ski penetration was up to three feet on skis, and more than that on foot obviously. They couldn't figure out how to do any evacuations in those conditions.

The Texans love to take the whole damn family to City Market and let the kids run amok. We don't have hudge grocery stores with aisles to accommodate these fat fucks so you end up with traffic jams of oblivious gaper families arguing over what cereal to buy. I can't do it anymore, we order our groceries online and pick them up in the lot.

Yep, I usually go about 10:30 on a Tuesday. I got behind and was forced into the evening shift. Short story...despite trying to mind my own business I had to explain to the chief fat fuck of whatever you call what looks like multiple families with some type of vacation team sweatshirt uniform that no the employees are not involved in some elaborate scheme to defraud you out of hundreds of dollars because a couple on sale items rang up incorrectly. And that if they decided to go skiing elsewhere next year perhaps that would be better for everyone.

I heard Alma is beautiful in the winter!

Be the change you want to see. There are assholes from everywhere. We just specialize in recruiting a particular big fish in a small pond douche nozzle that expects the world be bend to them. And its fueled by a pile of mid grade cock gobblers that suck on anything and everything to get there piece of the pie.

But we got mountains, good jobs and we don't have to live in the city. So it goes.

I had heard that the Eagle Wind lift is broke down. Is to up and running or did you access the goods from above?
Skiing the Cirque without Eagle Wind lift makes for awfully long laps. No me gusta.

No Eagle Wind so the laps were painful. But worth it because no one was going in there really.

Gonna try to get 4-5 hooky-days in at A-Basin before the end of the season. Hopefully there will be more snow to play in soon there...

We should be in prime time big mountain season but it's too hot. God this year sucked, it can't even do springtime properly.

The closed off Spaulding Ridge past cornice chute. I guess patrol is starting to worry about wet slides?

With no overnight freeze, they would not be out of line to be worrying about wet slides... stupid weather.

They've been closing the Steep Gullies, which are mostly N facing, for wet slide precautions for a few weeks. Sucks. Headed out to the desert for 85ºF weather and riding bikes. Seems weird to do this before Easter, but here we are. Not complaining. Drinking beer on the deck in shorts and t-shirt was not terrible yesterday.
