Yep, but bookings show mayhem starts today and all the second homos are tourists showed up in my 'hood last night.

But more snow is always better and the cold stormy weather keeps people pounding hot chocolate and bloodys. So, as usual, the crux will be everything that comes before you get on the lift.

    Get it.

I took a peak at the webcam for copper yesterday and it looked super dead but then I drove around silverthorne a bit in the afternoon and realized oh they're all just getting here now, at once.

good to see some respectable snow out there this morning with more in the forecast. I'll be at work because we are pretty short staffed today but it looks like I should make a parking res for the basin tomorrow to sneak up for some in the morning.

Nope, that was sad. It was pouring down rain for hours in Green Mountain.

Crazy dense fog along the whole Uncompahgre valley floor. It's pretty rare that the Montrose airport is affected by weather but its sure to be screwing up some flights this morning.

NWS issued a Dense Fog Advisory. Can't say I have seen that around Christmas before! Guess the fog was bad everywhere around the Juans and the Gunni valley

We were walking the dogs yesterday as it marched across town. I thought it was a storm and we were gonna get snowed on haha.

It's been inversion snowing on and off this morning, kind of like being back in SLC except the air isn't toxic.

We were in Montrose and ridgway yesterday looking at real estate. Been in GJ all week. Got a dusting last night. Cool fog on the monument last night. We stayed up in Redlands. Cool views.

Spicy drive home last night. A solid, dense 18" in 6 hours. We got way more up here than the resort, I'm just under 2 miles W-NW of Buff Pass. 2' wind drifts in spots. My 19" wheels might be imbalanced for a few days even after unpacking them, lol.

worst season I have seen so far at Wolf Creek. Have not had a faceshot since oening day. deadfall still an issue in the bc. thankfully the valley still has dry riding. Just found out about this https://www.cpr.org/2024/11/21/james...le-dies-at-80/ I have been to the Taj Mahal and Bishop Castle. I would go back to Bishop Castle.

Was a most legit pow day yesterday in Breck. I'm guessing imperial and hopefully upper peak 7 will get open next week if it keeps up.

Yeah, I was out in the backcountry West Side of the Indian Peaks and it was much deeper that I expected. Bit of snow, bit of wind, low sun angle and short days is the early winter recipe!

It does look bad but a snow stake with no numbers was always stupid.

Next they'll have a "Sustainability Sunday" video explaining how virtuous they are for using reclaimed pallet wood and recycled scrabble tiles to build their snowstake. s

Had a real fun morning at the basin and definitely not busy. Dogwoods opened yesterday so I spun a couple in there.

Aspen’s gone super woke too…I hear their uphill route signage shows a woman skier, not a male or unisex skier [emoji23]

Telluride skied good today but got weird mid-day with Rime all the way to the top of Gold Hill. That definitely shouldn't happen in CO in December.

Mrs. Snowaddict has had a rough go of it with injuries in 2024. It was great to see her charging the steeps again.

I had almost lost hope after riding MTB and dirtbikes in 55 degree weather last week, but today was over the hood all day on the sled a little ways south of Telluride. Great storm, fuck yeah winter!

A buddy texted me that it was raining in Cb South last night, so that's nice.
