Clever move by copper to make snow on upper part of main vein only then have the trail cut over to FairPlay so they can claim more trails open.

I skied Copper on tuesday and it was really nice, good snow, enjoyed it a lot. There's a terrain park.

    Clinic at Loveland tomorrow.

Is it ever good? I only xc ski in Boulder if there's enough snow for CU South.

It would have been sufficient for 4 and 6 year old girls.

FYI, it is groomed by the Boulder Nordic Club, and they post updates on their FB page re grooming and conditions. Just saw the following:

Updated November 19, 5:15 PM. North Boulder Park. Poor to very poor. Thin coverage with grass breaking through in spots. Groomers were going to regroom this evening but decided against it. It should be ski-able the morning of the 20th, very firm in the early morning and then rapidly deteriorating with sun and warming temperatures.

Nice weekend of skiing on the Northern front range. Still pretty thin down low , but better than expected coverage up high. The ice and rain layer seems to be widespread, about mid way down in the snowpack. Plenty of signs of instability on the steeper east facing slopes, but meadow skipping sure was nice. Lots of smiles and a chill crowd enjoying the day. Great to be back on snow Click image for larger version.

Welp that warmth yesterday made it hard out there pretty dang quick. Contest bowl hike-to opened today, thin and punchy though.

I sure wish Copper would open some more terrain. Loveland was super fun on Saturday, Nix. Only got to do it a couple of times, snuck off from groomer clinic.

I did the thing! First race since, what, 8th grade field day maybe? Ended up mid-pack somewhere, I'll be curious to see the results posted. It was hard but fun hard; I'd probably do another one.
