Yup, wipers up is bad juju.
That, and I've seen broken wiper arms around here due to wind. Think it's an ice coast thing that has migrated here over the years.

Wind all night in Boulder pretty much blew away all the already dry snow before it even melted. Back to fire weather this week.

Plenty of snow still at my house in Boulder - probably 6” still on the ground.
Big thanks to driver of the blue Tacoma who forced me into the ditch this afternoon. For future reference, it's customary to drive on the right side of the road, not right up the middle. This is especially important when you have shitty old tires that don''t do much to help you stop while driving down a snowy hill. You'll be happy to know that unlike you, everyone else who passed me offered to help (and some did). On a side note my dog is pissed he didn't get to go skiing.

If you're a fan of avy or mountain porn, the CBAC has an incredible Google Drive folder right now- they have access to a heli and a plane and flew yesterday after it finally went blue. Great shots of Landry, Castle, and the entire CB zone.

If we're gonna wear uniforms, we should all wear somethin' different!
I was in the trees in the Pioneer zone. Snow was untouched but had funky windblown snow swails. I my skis got stuck in one, pitched forward arms extended, punched through the snow to my chest. my hand hit the ground, still grasping the pole, crumpled my wrist and broke the radius, dislocated the ulna.
My broken ribs were skiers right of Outhouse, just skirting the trees.
And Elk, when I broke my hand a few years back I started skiing after surgery as soon as my doc cleared me for walking on a treadmill. Figured that was about as risky as a groomer (without Texans).
You nutty bastids need to quit hurting yourself in the trees when the base is less than 50" at Winter Park.
55" *minimum* reported base... and even then... tread carefully. Esp as the dead trees start falling over and opening up "new" glades. That shit is DOWN THERE. Just waiting to get ya.
