Today was pretty damn good at the Beav again.... definitely a little more wind-blown and creamy, but it was still oh so nice. Stone Creek Chutes were SUPER deep, too.

Summit county is closed due to power outages, breck and keystone at least. Everybody is at Vail.

No, for once I didn't have any crashes yesterday so it wasn't me.

Such a weird story. Why would half an hour necessitate shutting down the resorts and why would it save enough energy to matter among other questions.

My last outlook of the season for long term prospects in North America, complete with a verification for this season's seasonal forecast.

My seasonal forecast didn't do so badly for Colorado with fairly average snowpack conditions, hope you all have a great rest of the season.

Looks like The Jane has been skiing great...who knew. It's probably about time we talk about meeting up and then not do it.

Beav was fun today. Moguls are out in full force, but the trees are still holding in places.

Snowmass was sweet yesterday despite high winds, everything exposed was smooth and soft. Conditions are amazing right now.

Highland too. Wind was moving just enough to fill in certain parts of the bowl, and it was essentially untracked soft the whole way down. And bluebird. My goodness.

Hey MiCol suggested I post here looking for mags. Headed to Beaver creek for a week Feb 12 to 18 with my sister's family then a week solo Feb 18 to 25 in Minturn at the Vail bunkhouse. Bringing touring kit, too and really hope to get out then beers on me. Aiare 1 and stuff. Pm if you don't mind a New Englander tagging along either inbounds or out. Or even just beers in Minturn rocking my FKNA shirt and go cougar hunting. Meow!

There is good touring right in Minturn. Talk to the folks at Weston, they will hook you up.

Shoot me a PM... I might ski a few hours inbounds tomorrow, and then potentially later this week if we get a bunch of snow.
