It didn’t start to snow in Snowmass till 6am. Maybe an upside down day?

Slow moving storm, hit south first, wind will change direction later today and the northern mountains will get ours. Slower the better IMHO. Hopefully we get some good multi-day accumulation over the weekend.

Might be too warm now. At least the base areas. Hopefully some good dense base building snow up top

Some of the biggest storms I remember have come in warm. Warm is good for snow production sometimes. Better than when it is too cold to snow. That really sucks. Temp will drop with frontal passage.

Don't worry, it will stop in 10 minutes. It doesn't count as 2 inch/hour snowfall if it only falls that hard for 25 minutes.

Storm is done. Calling it at 5" for the 5AM report for Vail. Probably 7" for BC tomorrow.

WC needed that, but damn it is still really low tide. We are 160" below ytd from last season.

5" right now at Vail. Nice dense, buttery snow. Wind is out of the Northwest.

No idea if it will result in anything but wind direction just changed in Denver and upslope headed your way. I'll be at basin either way, say hi.

Argh. This one hurt. On a positive note we did receive widespread
precipitation with some locales likely getting over an inch of
liquid. The negative was that we held on to the warm air too long
to get some really impressive snowfall from that liquid. Snow to
liquid ratios were 10:1 or less for much of this storm and didn`t
increase until this evening as it us wrapping up. With little
threat of additional significant snowfall have decided to end the
winter highlights and move on to the next storm late this week.
Timing for this one didn't quite synch up for a lot of areas...better luck next time, lol.

Twas dumping near the tunnel tonight. Summit not so much. Would think abasin will be the choice for deepest snow tomorrow. I'm just excited to ski something fresh at this point.

Don’t look at the snow report before you go to A-Basin then. What a big shitburger.

Oh, and whoever designed Vail Resort’s mobile websites needs a kick in the nuts. None of the sites have the snow report displayed on the homepage. Wtf?

Vail doesn't want to highlight that they have no snow.

I don't know why everyone was so excited for this storm. The NWS forecast was bleak.

15" at T-ride, 10" at BC? Better than nothing right?

Why everyone has to bitch about it all the time is beyond me. Yes, the snow isn't great right now, but if you get out there you can still have fun. Better than work or couch surfing.
