BP did not suck this AM. 5-6" of cream cheese goodness. Right-side up. Pre work pow turns makes a man whole.

I skied the Basin yesterday before the storm moved in. It was in pretty good shape, all things considered. However, when I was driving home, it was raining from Empire down to Denver. Take that in: rain at 8500 feet in mid January.

Plenty of fun at Loveland today. Not great obviously but there is powder.

Weather station question - see below:

At, say, 1pm the temp is 5, the min is 2....why would the max be 24? I’m very doubtful it’s fluctuating that much up and down...

Isn't that the Max/Min for the previous rolling 24 hours?

Skiing off the T-Bar at Breck was good today. The wind was offering endless refills into Horseshoe Bowl. They opened the traverse toward the Boundary Chutes mid morning and after a rocky traverse they did not disappoint.

If you look back at that station, you'll see that the times where the Max Temp changes correspond rather eerily to the times when the same temperature was measured 24 hours prior. I bet that's just coincidence though.

How often do you think those sensors are recording? These are small devices with small processors and transmitters.

    Nope

    Max past 24
    Min past 24

Notice how once the new min of 2 was set at then the min stays at 2

Went to Breck today. Was surprised by the Abasin report, but whatever. E chair had some goods and so did T bar. Not a blower day, but wasn't terrible either. Lemme know when you're ready, Nancy. Would be fun to make some turns with ya

It was fluffy in areas, perhaps because it was "blustery"

Looks like they've updated their original report. Did you also seen them report 4"? Just watched the snowcam timelapse, it looks like another 4 inches easily has fallen since their AM report.

What’s the word on the Eagle Wind chair opening for the season at WP?
