Is that Lower Stone Creek? (Twin Aspen chute?) Poked around there today. Good snow but it is mogully in a lot of places. Tough to ski chowder mostly. Yesterday's snow filled up more than I though it would but much more is needed to repair the damage.

Mega windy above treeline at Breck (and everywhere). Imperial was open for a couple of hours then shut down. The rise was worth the price of admission.

Read in another forum that freezing rain and rain fell all over Vail yesterday. Anyone confirm?

It was dry yesterday for the most part, but a few drops of rain were reported around the Mtn but it wasn't much.

Holy winds and super warm yesterday. Anybody see what highest recorded gusts were? Might need to patch a few shingles on the roof to hold us over til spring...

87mph @Gilpin, 70mph @Ward and Monarch Mtn, 56mph @Breck, 57mph @ Loveland Pass and A-Basin, 41mph@Steamboat. West of Vail Pass it was pretty mellow. I was at the Beav and very little wind all day.

Multiple report of steady rain to the roof at Wanker Park. Never got below freezing at my house here in the Ice Box of the Nation tm.

Had to keep clearing off the lenses at Vail yesterday. Freezing rain/drizzle graupel mix for a couple hours at midday. It gave the powder a nice hiss. Very little, if any wind over there.

Total meltdown in Denver, hit mid-60s at my place today. Winter's over, time to write off the season again.

Awesome day at The Beav today....if it were March! Spring like skiing below 10500 ft. on sunny slopes. I actually enjoyed the sun and soft snow.

Stone Creek Chutes were fun and still soft yesterday. Love Last Chance chute, with that huge rock wall to the left.

Skied from Belle's camp to mango's today. The sun was roasting and the snow was mashed potatoes. Pretty fun little meadow skip down that way, never done it before.

There was HUGE surface hoar in shady spots. Some crystals were a few inches long.

    I miss that trip.

I haven't, but an ex-gf of mine fell on that line and blew up her knee really badly a few years ago. Apparently it's quite steep (and she said it would have been really fun if she had stayed on her feet).

The top looks very steep and exposed. A fall must have really sucked.

Her knee would tell you that it did indeed suck...badly.
