It's been closed and the busiest week of the season until March. I would have to assume it's going to be good/great out there from what I saw last week. I hope it opens tomorrow....peak closed today. I have been twisting DINs and hearing stories from TXns and Okies and will be out there tomorrow.

Ridge opened today, peak stayed closed. Alberta side of the ridge was $$$. Other end was open up to the Horseshoe entrance. Steep stuff off the ridge looked THIN

Flat and shitty at the ski area would be my assumption.

Very quality conditions with some hiking today. Avy cannons still going off after 11:00 in Horseshoe. Patrol is waiting for the tourists to leave, IMO. As a pro-blader, I would say it's good to go!

Still good snow around these parts. Hopefully get a nice refresher over the next few days.

It's snowing like Bama just lost the Sugar Bowl right now.

Couple of weeks of mostly dry and much warmer weather on tap......despite the Bama loss.

I wouldn't mind a few warm sunny days anyway. Will be nice to get a little further out and get some good visibility. Just in time for the crowds to leave.

Somewhat typical January drier period ahead?

Probably worth it to see Alabama lose such an important game to a Big 10 team Not to mention no SEC team in the first college football championship!

Definitely a down year for the SEC... hopefully this means the committee won't suck their dick next year like they did this year. Bama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Miss St. all lost in their bowl games- pretty surprising.

Ended up at Steamboat, snow was firm and it was riming harder than Andre 3000 until 11 or so but it softened up after that. Nice day for working on my braille.

Similar story at Mary Jane. Started off firm but ended up niiiice and soft. Snowed hard all day long. Berthoud was $$$ at 3 on the west side.

Nice day on Vail Pass. Nice supportive base with some blower on top. Bottom is junk of course but nothing was very reactive. Some signs here and there of old crowns, probably from the last cycle.

Agreed Montana. The black lakes area was fun to lap with no snowmobile. Everyone was all smiles up there today

Nice morning in Butler Gulch. Light snow through the morning with some high wind gusts. Not sure what that NNE facing gully is called, but that thing is a riot.

We forced a powder shot too...
