Copper and Breck are looking really good. Really warm and windy so the flakes are tiny. Takes alot of flakes to accumulate when they are this small. BC opens Stone Creek and Royal Elk tomorrow....and Arrowhead.

Gnarly storm day
Warm and graupel snow for a while now. Bye bye soft powder. Hello wind drifts
20 years in the CO high country and today was the burliest driving I've even encountered. Monarch pass and Hoosier were straight up gnarly. Ended up looking down out of my side window and following the yellow line a few times. Tomorrow should be sick many places, wind or not.
Gusts just under 100mph Loveland & Berthoud Passes. Sustained winds of 55mph at A-Basin weather station.
I french kissed Kelly Kapowski.
Just made it to Frisco after getting delayed and delayed on getting up to my hotel. Easily in my top two scariest driving experiences ever. Lights were going out in the tunnel and coming out of the western side was the fucking gnarliest driving I've ever done. Visibility was damn near zero and watching a jeep with California plates almost hit every single fucking car and truck on the road was an experience.
Glad I made it and tomorrow is going to be a good day.
Edit: Sister took a video of the lights going out. Crazy stuff.

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
Kailas, these transplant, gotta have 4wd x all the time, pussies could use a moment of your opinion on such common matters.
"Impulsive? No! I'm RE-pulsive!"
Windy as hell. Snow totals are going to be a guesstimate (is my guess) because there is no way that a snowstake would have been able to hold up against the powerful wind from last night.
Beav reporting 9", but their snowcam is showing a foot.
It's going to be 3 feet deep in some areas!
Abasin....goodness

Is it still crazy windy up there or have conditions improved?
It's windy and going to get worse. NWS calling for gigantic winds again today.

debating Abasin or BC - figuring wind will be the key factor today.
Copper will have some great stuff. I was on boot pack crew again yesterday and there were very high winds at the top of Union Peak (which is closed) with very low vis for most of the day. There was a lot of deep dust on crust areas yesterday but should be less of an issue today.

ok we'll come up with a solution by then makers....
Keystone needs to pack up and move their mtn...4" while ABasin got 19"??!!
Keystone donut hole in full effect eh?
That sucks, Abasin is going to be a shit show.
All of these reports are wind affected.
There's another snowstake at Vail Mtn that's showing 21"...........
There was definitely 19" if not more at the basin. Bottomless, hudge wind drifts in spots like massive waves. So fun.
It was damn good today. Some weird hooky wind affected snow on open W-faces but protected stuff in the trees was $$$$. In fact just about everything I have skied in the past 4 days has been extremely good.
This storm was great for coverage, we are pretty much in mid-season form now.
Stupid day at Vail. DEEEEEP in the back. Zero VIS and HAMmERING! Chair 5 line blew up to about 45min. BSB did not open.....crazy windy. Heavy snow but wow was that surfy fun!
