very warm today in Keystone but cooled down in the afternoon enough so that it started snowing rather than raining. It only snowed very lightly though for about 30minutes. Other than that it was your typical spring conditions with very hard ice in the morning and slush in the afternoon.
sunny and 65 in Steamboat today, unreal. Clouded up and started raining in Yampa and Toponas on the way home. 61 in Avon at 5pm. The storm for Monday looks on track, gonna get NASTY on Sunday, summer like thunderstorms. Snow should start to crank up on Sunday night adn all day Monday. A foot looks like a good bet as of now.

storm still on track...tomorrow still a warm day and typical SW flow early. However, by the time the cold front slams into the area the moisture should finally break thru....a good thing this time, maybe limiting the rain time. Tuesday should be stupid good.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Based on what you know now -- where would you plan to ski if you could ski pretty much anywhere in the state Monday and Tuesday but you had to decide where by Sunday afternoon? Chime in with thoughts weather geeks.
Snow-forecast.com is showing snow of varying intensity Sunday through Thursday (Aspen area). How are they for accuracy?
Later this week is looking promising at this point...
unsettled flow all week. BEAUTIFUL right now, sunny and 60.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
When you say unsettled flow, is that coming from the Northwest or Southwest? I'll start burning skis and cursing the sky if it's gonna be southwest all week
The CAIC looks decent for next week "Unsettled weather and seasonably cold temperatures continue through the remainder of the week"
NW........
ROLL TIDE ROLL
This is looking good, might be worth a trip to steamboat.
Got the ok from the boss to take a day off this week, so hopefully this storm produces...
Its producing. have friends up at Breck and its dumping up there. Just saw on the news loveland is getting hit pretty hard as well.

coming down from breck to copper. harder at the former.
Wet snow very briefly at 7850' slightly west and downhill of Vail in Eagle Vail. The sound of NW always warms my heart
Will check on my porch in a bit and see if it's raining or nothing...
keep the live reports coming. probably won't be able to sleep the next two nights.
I french kissed Kelly Kapowski.
snowing for a very short while now![]()
Finally! Happy to switch from spring mode back to winter. I will be at wherever shows the highest report in the am. Looks like I won't have to travel far. Are Keystone, Loveland and the Basin finally favored in a storm this year? GO Keystone! There is still time to beat Snowshoe, WV on total snowfall.
3 to 5 on the ground so far from the reports at 5:15am
