Oh great, more red snow. So tired of dust ruining every spring.

Snowing lightly here but clean so far

Dust is the worst. You can see it starting to show up on the surface in places. Now I can't pretend that we didn't get it.
Az must be underwater by now, because thousands of feet of dust are being deposited in co right now

Great day climbing/skiing Dragontail Couloir up in the Park. Started grey bird but turned blue at like 9am. Super warm. Waist deep wallowing in the choke made for a slow boot pack...

Yeah. I noticed the Silverton CDOT camera was showing some dusty looking skies a couple hours ago.

I was on a spring break tour in the four corners area last week with the family when the haboob blew through with giant clouds of dust. I figured it meant another dust layer spring. Did it get up north too?
Crazy how red/brown the sky was in gunnison tonight. Wish i would've grabbed a picture.
Grab from FB of CB tonight....no bueno

This is looking at west wall at CB after the first wave came through. The white line is where a cat cut through the red snow. Looked worse in person. iPhone pic through a window zoomed in lost some of the effect.

Here's a slightly better one

Holy shit, awful! I didn't notice much dust up here. I think the N lucked out.
Got dust in EC too, not as bad but certainly visible this morning.

Jeez... I am shedding a tear right now.
Not seeing any dust in Summit yet as far as I can tell. Guess I should go inspect further.
Yes shed a tear, it's official the snow pack is f'd. All the recent human activity in the west, past twenty years, oil and gas exploration etc... has made this recurring disaster. Our forests are dying as well, but where's Anderson Cooper, east coast bias.
Yep - top layer is melting in here and it's oompa loompa orange.
My car was caked..
Screw you snirt

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
Does anyone have any more info on the Loveland pass CDOT control incident today?
The Denver Post says it was one CDOT worker and one CAIC forecaster that were hit with debris in the explosion. The CAIC forecaster involved could only be one of a handful of guys we all know...Vibes to both men.
My green truck is now red.
Great day at Abasin. East wall didn't pop, so probably a good bet for tomorrow. Go get it!
