It's not that we hate it. It's that 12" of Colorado White is so much better than 4" of PacNW glop.

12" of Colorado White on bare ground is not better than 4" of cascade cement on a 158" base.

I never take too much stock in those outlooks, but i guess it's better than a blob of shit stain brown in colorado

I think the GFS confirms the outlook so far, lets hope it continues to look good.

Yea, 12'' of dust on a rock solid, chopped up base is so much better than 4'' of smoothness. Skiing is all about how high up your body the snow blows when you ski it, right?

consistent snow in Aspen all day. I spent a few hours at Highlands; plenty of boot-deep lines in the middle G-zones of the Bowl and spots around temerity. glad to finally have some pow!!

From 0-8" depending where the wind put it. Hit it about 1p. Game Cr had about 4+ but crusty underneath, Sun Up trees about same but nicer base, and Orient Exp trees were pretty cool at about 2-3p. Riding out Teacup is was fricking dumping, nice size flakes...tomorrow am should be nice. Snowing pretty good all the way down so hope it continued cuz still snowing decent down in the valley. Roads are shit though, wet n slick.

    Yeah? No.

I'd take cream cheese any day unless the blower's deep enough to bury the base.

I can't believe anyone in CO would bitch and moan about the type and/or quality of snow we're getting. Mother fuckers, it's SNOWING! That's something that has occurred rarely in this state these past two "winters". Any and all snow is more than welcome as far as I'm concerned!

Fuck that snow shit, CO is the new NM. At this point, I'm waiting for the lifts to open for the MTB season.

24" at mid mountain yet only 9" at summit. I've seen this type of thing before, but not of this magnitude. Still some weather mysteries up around Steamboat!

Where are you seeing 70 inches in 72 hours for purg? I was there the last three days. More like 40 inches but still amazing.
