Snow conditions at the resorts right now = THE SUCK. I feel bad for all those tourists who spent thousands of $$ to come ski icy hard pack.

Not sure what to think about this storm tomorrow. Not all that impressive but some forcing and a good NW flow. I'd say probably 2-4" but wouldn't be stunned to see a tad more or a tad less. At least it is gonna get cold again.

snow machine turns on again for western slope through end of next week. Afternoon QPFs through Thursday looked impressive.

If this system pans out, I'll be skiing sunday.

Nope, just inbounds stuff for me.... probably won't get into BC unless I get a job in the mountains this spring/summer.

It's pretty cold here. Bought to head up to Ball Mtn/E Side of town. Hope it's filled in enough by now.

HfT - those first two look especially juicy. Did you make some turns or mostly just a recon mission of sorts? Do you have a sled - or how did you access...that road isn't plowed, is it?

Or is that from the east side? It's not a bad approach from E Portal TH.

indeed, east portal. I had plans to make some mellower pow turns around heart lake, but I was freezing and just headed back down. I guess thats the price you pay for the early morning light. Need to go back with a partner next time...

went up Buckeye Gulch yesterday, and found fantastic snow on E aspect!! 8-10 inches of blower on top of a soft base = really good skiing!!!! No signs of instability were observed, nor did I see any signs of natural slides on the steeper lines off Buckeye Peak.

Going back for seconds this afternoon, as soon as I can leave the shop. Damn its slow today! Someone come in and give me something to do...
