Loveland reported 2" this morning, could have been a couple more by opening, and maybe another inch or two during the day....

cameron pass was legit today. arrived about 8am this morning with what appeared to be 12" of fresh up top. Snowed most of the day, then low clouds the rest of the afternoon. Horrible visibility for the most part so no opportunities for pics. Really bad wind loading above 11,000 feet. Hit one stump all day that resulted in double eject, but came out with only a bruised ego.

Jones Pass this morning was a blast
Varying depth from 2 feet to thinly veiled dirt in the upper bowl.

Most aspects had soft windblown layers mixed with depth hoar.

    Some faces are still dry.

Berthoud Pass this afternoon, about the same coverage as Jones.

witnessed some slednecks fracture a slope at Jones pass today, luckily didnt slide. hard to describe but its in that pic you took of the bowl. if you saw a wrangler parked on the side of the road coming in, that would have been mine.

No problem. This thread was actually the outgrowth of some emo butthurtness by telemike.

A lot of spread noted by the end of the week in the forecasts. That means one thing...

    The pattern could be changing

Let's hope... feels a lot like last year and for some reason I don't think we'll get two weekends in a row with 3 foot storms again.

Last Thursday (11/13), we went skiing on Hagerman Pass. The road is definitely snowed in up high, but we made it almost to the first switchback. Skied NE aspects which were $$$$$ for the upper 500 feet, and thin, steep, and rocky for the bottom. The skis definitely took a beating, but it was well worth it.

There are lines on North Massive completely filled in and skiable...
Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.

NO MAJOR TEMP SWINGS...WITH READINGS RETURNING TO ABOVE
SEASONAL VALUES FOR THE START OF THE NEW WEEK.

    ^^^Not so good^^^^

MORE INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT TAKING SHAPE JUST OUTSIDE THIS FORECAST
AS A RETURN TO MORE UNSETTLED WEATHER APPEARS LIKELY AS WE MOVE
INTO THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. STAY TUNED.

    ^^^Perhaps good^^^^

I hate how hot it is, this is ridiculous.

    From snowforecast.com
-several storms lineup in the Pacific for a good shot at significant snows early next week (25th on) as the pattern reverts back to unsettled for the Western US. We expect large scale low pressure troughing and a series of storms possible through early December. *The east and west coasts usually trade unsettled/ rain/ snow patterns with calm/ sunny/ high pressure patterns (not always), back and forth, and the east coast should be unsettled now through the 24th. They've had that up for days now. It's not changing until at least the 28th.

While it would seem that nothing could change until the 28th, the large spread amongst the models makes next week kind of a wash...

If you take the GJ Zone forecast on its face, it says outside the forecast time the pattern changes which would be the 26th or so. I'd say its a good bet that we'll be out of this persistent high by next weekend.

They were saying on The Weather Channel this morning that it was colder in Key West yesterday than it was in Denver. There were a couple of other crazy temps around the country as well.

Nothing great for this week as the upper level trough moving into Colorado by week's end shears apart.

Keep the faith people, it is still early. We'll see how long I can stay positive.

I should also mention that I have been heavily sedated recently.
I don't like being outdoors Smithers, for one thing, there's too many fat children.
