Accumulating snow looks likely this weekend at the pass level, with a strong shortwave for sometime later next week.

Friends of Berthoud Pass
id expect some highlites this weekend with the system rolling in.
quoted from weather.com:
"Montana, Wyoming and Colorado could turn very wintry next Friday and into the Columbus Day weekend as a cold Canadian high-pressure area and vigorous upper-level disturbance combine to produce significant snow across the Rockies and high Plains. "
1, 2, 3. Doo it.
woooohooooo
ROLL TIDE ROLL
looks like cold weather for the weekend, but sunny and 60s prior to then. Still uncertain on the track and potential of the storm for the weekend, it could stay north for the most part. It does look chilly with temps in the low 20s or high teens around 8k.

It was damn cold up above Loveland Pass this morning- wind chill around 20, methinks. A-Basin's WROD was looking pretty solid from above- I predict that if any of the snow comes this weekend, they'll open by the 17th.
strong SW flow this weekend, cold temps, and little moisture. Next week looks dry and warmer, at least thru midweek.

need more cold
was snowing on Vail Pass earlier today, the front has not really pushed thru yet, look for warm temps and WIND until it does...sometime later tonight. Most of the energy stayed north. I am stoked for snow and done with warm clear days, but (get ready....) I know it will come in time.

Looks pretty sunny and mild for awhile now. Some moisture late into this next weekend and early next week perhaps, but looks subtropical thus pretty high snow levels.

Its snowing in town!!! Just starting to collect, but some big, fat flakes!
Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.
-Glen Plake
It's dumping big fat flakes. We'll see how it lasts. Maybe I'll hit up Hagerman tomorrow for some late October turns.

We're mountain people. This is what we do, this is how we live. -D.C.
Not much chance for snow after tomorrow. The next large scale low-pressure over the West appears to be during the first week in November. Hopefully, this will kickstart the season!
JUST SNOW ALREADY
Warm and sunny all week and into next weekend. Looking like it did last fall....if that equates to the same winter that would be $$$
ROLL TIDE ROLL
yeah High pressure lined up for a long time, im telling myself to just stay positive
Get out on the mtn bike and enjoy it.![]()
I've noticed that so many more people have been out on the trails lately... everyone wants to get it in before the snow onslaught
pattern change in store for early next week as the westerlies will punch through. fairly broad trough and with current model orientation, the San Juans looked favored.
