    its coming...

Loveland still had some good stashes this morning, but a little more fresh fluff wouldn't hurt.

snowed pretty hard for about an hour this afternoon. Picked up a quick inch and quiet since then. Looks like as usual, we will have to wait til the flow shifts to the NW before our snow machine cranks up.

It just started here in Leadville. Only an inch so far. But I'm not worrying yet, there's still 18+ hours of Winter Storm Warning left...

just checked out the water vapor loop and it looks like the low has already moved far enough east to create upslope conditions, so I'm not expecting too much more here in Breck. LL/WP/Bert should do better. they were calling for 6"-18" and Summit Cnty areas reported 3"-4". Awesome.

the forecast called for 10"-20" in Vail/Aspen and the reports indicate 4"-7" at report time.

this storm could just be the great dud of the season.

the sun just poked through the clouds here in Breck as I typed this.

edit: I was keeping an eye on the loops since yesterday and this storm just never looked organized enough to give us the amount of snow they were calling for.

    /end rant.

I can see it. I know, the same thing has been happening to me this morning too.

Should've gone to Monarch today. I've said that too many times to count this season.

Def more than they reported up on Peak 10 this morning, spots of about a foot.. largely due to the wind loading. I caught first chair before work and took 7 laps without even having to ride the lift with anyone else... it was empty.

Not much new snow here, but there's definitely a decent amount of wind.

Vail Mags.... how you feeling about tomorrow? Is this thing hitting hard over there? Worth going or staying in Summit?

    I was up there today.

About 10" or so on top of a hard crust, but there were maybe 75 cars in the parking lot all day. Snow was good, and it was still snowing when I left around 1:00. Tomorrow will be worth heading up for sure.

Who the fuck cares about the foothills? The only thing the foothills are good for is mountain biking, and I"m pretty sure we don't want any more snow to hold us up there. The real mountains are getting some decent snow, at least down south.

    You're right about that.

I'm hoping to mountain bike on Sunday, so the lack of snow in the FR today was a blessing in my eyes.

deeper every run today at outback. About 10-12" by 1pm. Tomorrow should be good, especially for the 2nd week in April.

Yep, tomorrow should be the titties. One last inbounds hurrah before the epically long BC season begins...

Well, I definitely expressed my frustration with this storm a little prematurely. Ullr showed me what was up.

First tracks down Peak 7 was tittays. Over-the-knee deep goodness and it was still nuking up top when I left. It's gonna be good tomorrow too.

sir... thank you so much for that. I'm stuck in Denver all day with my girlfriends goddamn parents when I could've been at Vail with the 13 inches. There's always tomorrow

well it took all day, but snow is currently pouring forth from the skies once more.

    Will this winter ever end?

weather has been pretty quiet lately. Pretty good for the snowpack as we have had a few days of warm then a few days of colder. Looks like more of the same for this week, sunny and warm til Thurs then cold and snowy again. This system looks to be more potent than the one last week.
