lot was empty when I went by yesterday after skiing the deep two we got. I don't know why anyone would chase down here this storm. Good chance it will be too deep and heavy for the flats. Deadfall is still an issue for tree skiing. I have not been skiing the waterfall area or number chutes this season. This might be enough to be able to get a clean line there, but stuff will be sluffing hard. Off the knife edge should be good but from the cat track down deadfall could still be an issue. Good were going to get something. I never knew there could be 4ft moguls with a 4ft base.

There's probably other data you could select to display, or a different time frame, or whatever, to get what you're after. Seems powerful enough if you click over to the Create/Modify Report tab there's a ton of shit you can configure. There's a PDF help doc: https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/sites/defa...lp%20Guide.pdf

FWIW, I used the Interactive Map a little bit as well to select only the Colorado SNOTEL sites, then had it switch to the Report Builder. So the Interactive Map thing is pretty dope as well, just less easy to sort by something like "most snow in the last 24 hours" but still a cool tool.

Anyone got a good work around or alternative? I'm trying to answer "what SNOTEL in Colorado has received the most snow in the last 24hrs"
Yeah, WTF did they do that for? Too many people showing up at the trailheads with the most snow.

I skied the lower east wall once on Tuesday and that was some rock dodging, areas of soft snow, and some hard chunks under from past debris. good to get that all skier compacted and ready for this bit of snow each day. I will probably try to do a hike or two Monday or Tuesday conditions permitting.

CB only reported 7 but the powcam shows about 15. And the morning powcam already looks like 9. I guess that means 4 or 5 an hour. Either way it finally snowed more than an inch or two.

Just found this map view on OpenSnow... and while it's not a table (which would be easy to sort) it is color coded so you can kinda see at a glance which SNOTEL sites (weather stations) are in the dark reds and purples. Looks like Schofield Pass might be the current leader with 31" in the last 24.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but if you have Gaia Maps (the version you pay for) there's a Snow Stations layer that shows all the SNOTEL locations and it updates with the last 24 hr snow totals, etc.

Yesterday we were saying that every day this season has been like going to battle, and everything gets a beatdown- what little snow was on the hill, the rocks, your gear, and definitely your body. Man it felt good to just go shred. It'll be right around 24" in the 24 hours since the first flakes started falling last night. Needed that so bad.

Purg was deep, with a driving and parking clusterfuck. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot and hurt my knee skiing two weeks ago. Shouldn't even have gone, turns out pow (any) turns are tough on one leg.

First, I appreciate anyone who puts in a skintrack, especially on a pow day. With that out of the way.
    Rant start…
Have Utahns taken over skintrack duty in CO? Tracks now seem to go straight up, then they must get tired and go totally sideways for like 20 yards, then straight up again with maybe a few shallow S turns.
I blame this on newbies. I took a friend out on his first day of bc and he broke from my track and started straight up saying it’s faster. I didn’t know what to say. He quickly flamed out.
Please, can we zig zag again?!
    Rant end.
And thx to all pow skintrack setters again!
