How little snow does it take to close Trail Ridge Road?

All quiet on the peaks trail Saturday morning. Before the rain.
Sheriff’s blotter in Friday’s daily had the goods, but this one takes it:

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, law enforcement in a neighboring county passed on information to local deputies about a caller who stated that she was being followed on Interstate 70 as she traveled into Summit County. The caller and her passenger met with deputies near Frisco and advised that they were being followed on the highway by about eight vehicles. But deputies did not observe any other vehicles. During the investigation, the driver admitted to consuming alcohol and cocaine prior to driving. She agreed to roadside maneuvers and did not complete them comparable to a sober person, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The woman was arrested and taken to the Summit County jail where she was booked on multiple charges, including driving under the influence.

No pics, but that one grove on the peak to peak highway -- the one that causes traffic jams -- is going OFF.

Rainbow Lakes was a nice little outing.

Is that all private land? There are no trails through those aspens, right?

Had a weekend of hiking and color-touring with no crowds.

    Gotta say it was nice.

Went for nice aspen filled hike 1hr from NW Denver on Saturday morning.

Turns out there are still uncrowded trailheads if you're willing to not got to "Top 10 aspen day hikes from Denver". Saw 6 people and 2 dogs in the 4hrs.

no trails that I know of. The Sourdough TH is right there, but heads north (and that grove is south).
