Since summer weekend camping reservations are almost as hard to come by as a winning lottery ticket (especially holiday weekend ones!), I have an extra camping reservation for the July 4th weekend that I'll offer up here before I throw it back into the general pool. I have it reserved from July 3-6 (4 nights, but I can drop July 3rd if you only want it for 3 nights), checking out Sunday the 7th.

The campsite is at the Chapman Campground (outside of Basalt), it's next to a creek and has shade, and the whole area is really pretty. If you want to know more about the campground/site/area before committing, ask away (we camped here last summer too).

The only downside is that I will be your next door neighbor.

I'll piggyback on this. I have a yurt reserved at bear creek lake park for the sunday night of String Cheese 7/14. Can't make it. We ride bikes to morrison then walk up trading post trail to show, reverse with headlamps after.

I have sometime before I need to cancel. But if anyone wants it I can coordinate when I cancel it.

Also, campnabber app FTW. $10/mo you get notifications on campsite and river permit cancellations.

Can confirm, chapman is awesome, try to stay there every year right before memorial day but missed it this year. Beautiful part of the state up that way.

Did not freeze Sunday or Monday night due to warm temps and cloud cover. Apparently did freeze last night but was weak and warmed up fast.

I have a site at Heaton bay 6/21-6/23 to release. Booked it to go see Molly Tuttle at the amp. campnabbed a better one when it came up. I’ll send dm with details later today.

Fell asleep on the couch on my deck last night watching a light show over the front range. It was so nice and warm out.

Yeah, I'm not complaining. I'm simply acknowledging that in the middle of winter I don't dream about summer.

I think there is, at least for me, I simplicity of winter that I enjoy. Ski, snowmobile, hang with the small group of like minded friends, eat, sleep, yoga, repeat. Summer just feels way more chaotic. I think most people probably feel the opposite.
