I wandered around Copper yesterday, crack o' noon. Got routed into the overflow lot which turned out to be very nice and convenient. Who knew? Lifties did seem glum. Judging by the quality of the skiing under super b, I am guessing a lot of people still here from out of state.

Wanted to get above treeline since it was so warm and windless. Storm King was the only place backed up so Spaulding was a no, next week. I ended up on some hike to terrain (NE) that was somewhat untracked and the snow was pretty creamy, just short of manky. A far cry from the refaceted north facing sugar I skied in December.

The backside was very interesting, bombing remnants everywhere but nothing ran. I even watched them bomb the Taco which had a big wind lip from cross loading, top to bottom, and it did not run. I am guessing the snow is settled nicely and I'm curious about backcountry and slack.

I really hope that @I70things is monetized and donates it to an appropriate charity after massive profits.

Agree. I just don’t get the appeal of spending your Saturdays like this.

Saw this slide rip down off Loveland Pass about an hour ago after walking out of BML. If you zoom in you can see someone(?) on the ridge. Yikes.

I don't understand that lift line. I also don't understand who they would load the mid station.

I went up around noon to get my credit card that I left at the bar last week. Didn’t ski. It looked pretty busy and signs said all lots were full.

I also drive to Breckenridge for a massage at 8:30 am. Thought it would be madness but it was pretty mellow especially compared to the other times this week that i went over for work. Strange.

They were parked 3 deep at the pull-off by the hairpin. Talked to some kids on Len who said it took an hour & a half to drive over the pass. Traffic was backed up as far as you could see.

I mostly skied Len and never waited more than 5-6 minutes. By 1 the singles line was ski on.

^and people thought they were gonna ski peak 7 when imperial opened today haha didn’t go up there but heard the line for imperial was a good half hour most of the day.

I think there’s more people in town this weekend than last even with the holiday.

We saw that backup on the pass while drinking beers at Steilhang. Insane! Happened to be rolling off Len when Zuma opened. One quick lap and then walk-on Pali. Did Zuma cornice ever open? Didn’t look like patrol hadn’t even ski cut yet or ran some of the lower ropes.

BTW, kudos to the people who skied the country club during the week. The bumps on Friday were as perfectly spaced as I can remember.

That's pretty funny. Living life in the fall line, the only way to roll. I can't take any credit I don't think. I just skied trees.

That’s a 30-45 minute line. Crazy. It was basically ski-on last weekend.
