I thought CB was thin until I drove through summit today, it looks grim there. Sure hope a Christmas miracle changes things for everyone.

The ice was rad though. Good ice is far more rare than powder, that's for sure.

That kind of happened with us. Up until last year, her ski skills suffered because she prefers skiing with me and my wife and would only challenge herself only so much. But last year she finally found a friend who she enjoys skiing with and both of them took ABasin lessons and got WAY better. Now she can ski everything except double black/EX. Can’t say enough about some of the teachers at the Basin.

Skied ‘dora with my 19 yo daughter today. It’s still just as awesome as it was when she was 11.

You have a lot of turns to look forward to.

Often when the rest of the Western Slope gets skunked, Powderhorn is pretty okay. Was getting soft by the end of the day.

    psst...ski is fun...pass it on.

Today was much better than expected at Wanker Pancake. I bet tomorrow morning will be quiet and fun albeit a little chilly.

That 6” at Vail on top of the crap they had underneath was surprisingly nice. Got a few more during the day, but still. Stayed soft into the afternoon.

You guys get some of the lightest snow I’ve ever seen. I caught a 36” day that was amazing.

Will I70 still be a shitshow in the middle of the day tomorrow? I'm seeing gusts to 60 on 285, so I might be forced to take 70.

The ice on Dillon was looking pretty skateable today if it is thick enough.

It's wicked cold tonight (2), but is should warm up tomorrow. I wouldn't worry about the ice for the next week or so, but EB I70, meh, I actually don't think it will be too bad. I think most folks come in for the Xmas - NYE stint.

Lat December driving north on 285 in similar weather I saw a rented RV with a roof that had been partially ripped off by wind. Couple was standing with their mouths open in front of the vehicle watching that thing flap up and down.

This the time of year when big elk herds cross 285 headed for the Tarryall, Kenosha and Rampart Ranges from the Mosquitos.
