Natural wet slide in the Sisters went across loveland pass road yesterday at 5:15pm. Good indicator when N facing aspects that are avy controlled all winter are going natural that it might be a good time to stay off those slopes for a bit.

But when it comes down to it I am a ski tech who moonlights as a retail salesman and needs side carpentry gigs to keep me a float in perfect times. Anything helps here and I'm just grateful to still be alive and have the ability to ask my community for help.

Anyone see this dude’s fall off of South Maroon Peak? Holy fuck! Imagine the panic knowing you’re in a free fall with thousands of feet of cliff bands are below you. He really lucked out.

The gofundme and the story have kind of blown up. Denver7 had a story last night (which turned out okay, they said some weird factually incorrect stuff about avalanches) and I did an interview with Good Morning America this afternoon. That will air tomorrow morning apparently.

This whole experience has been crazy. I’m trying to embrace that I have a good story to tell but damn it y’all I’m just a dude who was trying to go ski.
