Really bad in Routt, just walked the dog and could see particles in the air from my headlamp, almost like ash from a campfire.

    MJ skied great today...

    Volcanic ash from Russia?
Or red dust from the 4 Corners?

    Colorado Weather Discussion Thread

Aspen got 9” last night. It will be Skiing significantly better than anywhere else this weekend and I’d imagine you could fine some reasonable accommodations.

I was there too, definitely firm. With pea soup visibility.

The number of cars at the Jane that parked too close to the edge and sunk their tires was pretty comical.

Oh the Jane! It has certainly become the home of the bad attitude at that place. People love to forget about the whole rest of the ski area with is totally cool with me. Yesterday for example...

Pano: lots of people, worst snow on the mountain

Super Gauge: when you go to stand in line and listen to people whine about a foot plus powder day in May (to heavy, firm under neither, brought the wrong skis), where #bossmom goes to get into it with the lifties and so on.

    Gondi: walk on all day

Eskimo: Rettas, Bradleys, Mulligans etc. were just smooth AF, GS motoring

Vasquez: RedBull Cascade was super cool. Creative rope management facilitated faceshots for days

Pepperoni's: Best Bar in Grand County

Vintage Parking: Free, paved (no mud), quiet

Well, I stayed on the Jane side my entire day, skied Pano and the Super G and C chair and didn't see complaining, had great snow, everyone was happy, lift lines were short or non existent. Maybe you're projecting?

Maybe, maybe my busy meter is different that yours. Maybe you like bumps. Maybe you know The Jane better that I do. Maybe the fact that you don't see it and I do is representative of the challenge.

Its not an opinion that is uniquely mine. Talk to patrol. Talk to the lifties. Talk to the people that live in this valley. Saturday Jane Guy brings a different vibe. Its not good. Its not bad. It just is what it is.

I'm glad you had a great day. I did too. Remember. I hate crowds. That's my first Saturday since probably around New Years.

Oh, I've seen Saturday Jane Guy, because I have skied a lot of Saturdays up there (as a largely weekend warrior, it beats the alternative even if it's not as good as it used to be). Yesterday was the mellowest Saturday I've seen all season, which is incredible given there was a foot of new snow. So seeing you bitch about the crowd and attitude yesterday seems kinda funny.
