    On a more serious note, this is when we usually see an influx in preventable fatalities for homeless and folks that can't afford to heat adequately

    Selfishly, I'm happy most of that looks to stay east of us.

    Gonna be cold AF in the Range that is Front. -16F at night and a HIGH of -1F.... But, then warms up to 50F over the weekend. Probably means it will be a less crowded weekend. Everyone will be cold as shit on Thursday/Friday and then want to stay in town over the weekend to warm up. Hopefully stay the F outta the mountains.

    Lol they will not be on the lifts but they will be at the grocery store, hot springs, and brewery. You can't win.

    back when we had a set of keys for copper mtn the lift shacks with four guys in there worked well I used to do alot of night skiing at the resort before it became cool and it got ruined

    Wouldn't be surprised to see a number of lifts on cold hold on Thursday. Some (most?) areas shut down lifts if wind chill reaches a certain number (based on how long it takes to ride and how long it might take to off-load if something went wrong.)
