Nice pics. I have a couple, but everytime my pics are rotated so I don't bother to post.

Last Sunday, decent colors were had despite many stands experiencing blight, many are hanging on but the wind has picked up the last few days.

Last year still ranks in my top 5 autumns in Colorado over a span of 30 years. It was vibrant, with a seemingly more condensed, universal change; this year is a hodge-podge (for North Routt anyway).

Yeah, that's also my impression - this year is highly variable.

Now that fall is even fading a little bit I just want to make the statement that 2022 summer weather has been the best I've experienced in a long time. I'm comparing it to winter 2010/2011 in the amount of great dirt stoke days, bountiful fruit and veggies, clear skies, and no major fires. Really has been great including those massive Spring powder days. Water is a great thing to have. Appreciate it when you do.

Yup. Despite missing a month of riding to broken ribs, I'm thinking best summer I've ever had in the west. My garden was still producing last week before I left town.

Well the storm this weekend looks real enough that its changing some biking plans in GJ. Happy for snow, wish it held off another 12-18 hours...

I've got an Enchilada shuttle set up for Saturday and I'm pretty psyched we didn't go for Sunday morning like was originally planned.

I'm betting there will be enough snow to "ski" around the Juans by Monday evening. Maybe a halloween opening for wolf creek if next week pans out as well?

If you get to Burro Pass I bet that's the last day of the year. Yeehaw. Done that section in snow and ice and it was comedy gold of Enduro dudes crashing all over the place.

Joel just sent opensnow email saying there may be less snow, storm tracking south. But Seth hasn't updated his forecast. I'm frantically trying to wrap up some landscaping and wondering if I'll have a reprieve. Love to see some snow, but so tired right now and so much left to do.

Going to get pretty cold if not a lot of snow.

Basin opening Sunday, might go do some morning turns on a weekday next week.

A-Basin opens Sunday. Surprised given the warm temps.

Oh that is cool, thank you!

Seems like I'm always trying to pull tarps down when it's windy, sigh.

I'll just add that windy.com has a very low snow forecast for my vicinity and temps down into the low teens. Windy, cold, no snow, ha.

Very likely with two storms hitting next week. They'll be making snow as well.

When I see snowy peaks and lifts turning, I get stoked.
    Go time!
