Surprising the good snow to be found today. Lots of peeps at Vail today, so those places where everyone converges were slightly terrifying, but they stayed on the beaten path and left a lot of stuff alone.

Joel should probably start posting free refill wind event notifications so people don't miss them

That is both genius and terrifying. Those are some of my favorite days. Bummed I missed today.

Yeah, they're usually a big surprise, and definitely can be some of the best days on the mountain. We hardly ever get them in CB since we tend to get less wind but had one a few days ago.

I know wind can help a lot but ABasin’s post today about 2” new + wind = an all time day is laughable.

It's all time only in comparison with recent conditions. Luv is fun this AM.

Temps are warmer this week than they’ve been. Another small storm next week and then high pressure again. I know SWE is ok, but actual snow on the ground is way behind. Maybe the pattern changes in two weeks [emoji849]

What happened to Opensnow’s report in late January that February would be a more active, unsettled pattern? Whoops!

Our local snow forecasts also completely blew the forecast for February. They were forecasting 70" in the month. We are at 8".

You've gotten 8" in Feb? I think we've gotten an eighth.

Were they pushing their premium subscription so you'll know about every flake before it falls? Cuz CPC has been bearish on February for a while.

The 1" Breck got yesterday actually did quite a bit up high, lake chutes and peak 7 had some very nice pow turns where the wind came in.

Beats reading about the endurobros shredding green mountain. Surfy low tide is still fun. Blower will be back eventually.

You either get it or you don't. But. yeah, maybe "all-time" is a little much, agreed there. Al keeps trying to pump up all the things that we have loved about the place for years. Now they are even offering a Sunday pass. ugh.

Oh I get it but I just thought the “all time” was laughable. Way way overused.
