poser sounds like you have a good doc, but if you need any recommendations, Dr Huang at Colorado Springs Ortho center did my last ACL, super competent doc and solid mountain biker.

Poser your shit is way worse than mine. I’m determined to ski in March.
Curious, where did you go when you left Monarch? Did you go Salida or to an ER at home? Where was the surgery?
Best recovery possible

N facing aspects are still skiing chalky and nice. S and E were rough today. No snow in the forecast and rising temps. Those S and E aspects are going to get rough quickly this week.

ROLL TIDE ROLL
Im pulling for you brother! Look forward the hearing you are back out there in a few weeks. My goal, realistic or not, is to ski by December.
I knew I had torn ligaments and would need surgery so I made the decision to have my wife drive me back to the Springs. At that point I had no idea the clock was ticking on the compartment syndrome. In hindsight I should have let them ambulance me to Salida, which probably then would have flown me to Denver or the Springs.
lol
Sounds like me driving myself back to Littleton ER from WP.

Damn CSP, that’s a long ride all banged up like that. Your wife must be a saint to put up with 2+ hours of your whining [emoji12]

She just ignored my whining like she does every other day.
We probably aren't the models for making intelligent decisions.
Windy up high. It’s loading. That sluff can get spicy.
I have more skis and bikes than Facebook friends.
Always glad to be in CO in these big high pressure times where we sit on the very edge of the storm track. At least with an inch or two coupled with elevation and some wind we get decent alpine skiing. UT/WY are having it real rough right now.
Well maybe not that bad, but for their standards I'd say so. I'm sure there's still some fun backcountry skiing but friends out in those parts haven't been very stoked on the ski area conditions. Where as here I found some stellar windloaded pow turns in Lake Chutes just on Friday.
Best thing about midwinter skiing in Summit is the fact that it is rarely warm enough for sun crust to form and we hold snow better than anywhere during long periods of high pressure. Then there is the wind, that can be good or bad, but when it is good, it is almost like a pow day. You go any direction from here and their mountains are lower, and they don't get the wind that we do. So if it isn't recent pow, their skiing can suck. Meanwhile, Summit is consistently mediocre, with spurt of goodness.
Summit Cty is well positioned for what’s coming.
Nice sleeper pow this am. Wasn't much, 3rd buckle maybe up high, but it was enough for a really fun morning.
Temps high 20's/low 30's next few days, sunblock at the ready.
Thanks to the high pressure, was able to ski Redwell Basin off Emmons in CB today. Strange to be able to ski mid winter, but an awesome day out.
@goldenboy how are the conditions holding up inbounds? May come down at the end of the week.
Central and Northern Colorado "our shit conditions are better than anyone else's shit conditions". That, plus the long season, really are the two high points around here. People, bumps and a continental snowfall/snowpack are the low points.
We keep finding hero snow but missing those big blower storm days.
Skied lake chutes yesterday, conditions were pretty good, that was a good test for the new ACL, seems to have held in place.
